Haha. I'm posting cos' the ODAC26th blog now links to this blog. So I'm kinda inspired to start blogging again? :p But knowing myself, it'll probably not last long cos' I'm just like that. Well, we'll see how. (:

So yeah, I shan't ramble about the millions of things that have happened since June last year. (the last blog post) All I can say is that over that 1 year, I really enjoyed practically every second of it. :D With my ODAC batchmates :DDDDD and my awesome class, 09S43. So while it was definitely hectic/stressful, it was a heck of a fun ride. :D

So now the remainder of VJ life is gonna be tough. A Level exams. Ugh. It felt like just yesterday that we finished 'O's. Ah well. As they say, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going". Yupp.

And a note to myself: make better use of your time! you've so many goals to accomplish. better accomplish them. cos i really want to. :D

Ahh shit. Got so much to write but have to rush this cos' I needa start studying cos MYE are like less than 2 weeks away. CRAP! Kk. Even though I wanna blog about it, I shall postpone the entry 'bout econs sleepover-cum-project. (:

Kkaes, SECDC Camp was pretty cool but at the same time I'm glad it was over when it ended. Well, Hawk... what can I say? Started off pretty roughly as all of them were quite reserved and stuff but by the end of the camp, all of the Hawkers really came around and I think JiaTian, Sarah, Keni & I are all damn proud of them. Sure, they could be a little higher but... they tried their best, I believe. (: Oh and special mention goes to Li Ping, Althea and Tiara. You guys... seriously ROCK.

Yeah, basically it was Urban Ex, Low Elements then CIP Discussion on Day 1. Day 2 was High Elements, Kayaking, Field Cooking, Campfire as well as Nightwalk. Day 3 was mainly cleaning up and doing the CIP. Urban Ex started off badly, with Hawk in like... dead last. But we ended up being the first group to reach the end point at Braddell. (through planning & using our bus rides wisely!)

Then we took a bus to Jalan Bahtera Campsite. (see previous post). And actually from the end of Urban Ex to reaching there, I felt like quite bad. Like super unmotivated to do anything. But it wasn't anything a half an hour nap couldn't cure. (: Then after we reached the campsite, we had Low Elements, which was just okay-okay as the group was still quite low. (despite all 4 GIs trying our hardest to spur them on) Then I think things started turning around during the CIP discussion when we left our group to discuss on their own. They really seem to (for the first time) be having fun and bonding with one another. Then later at night, the whole St.Pats & their "contraband item(s)" fiasco happened and we had to like raid everybody's bag for those "forbidden items". In the end one bottle of Vodka was surrendered and yeah... Quite... unexpected.

Day 2 was definitely a better day. High Elements! Whee. Got to belay like 5 people? Quite cool to belay! But the tying of the knot is abit irritating. But yeah. It was quite nice. The long wait before climbing is quite anti-climax though. Then kayaking was damn nice! One of the best parts of the camp, I think. Quite funny to see the campers like unable to control their boat. I dun think the first time I kayaked (at exactly the same place!) was that comical-looking. :p But anyway, most of them got the hang of it pretty quickly and yeah... It was cool.

Then field cooking was also kinda fun. The groups were kinda mixed and yeah, I enjoyed watching them field cook their spaghetti with chilli/tomato/oyster sauce pasta gravy. Then was campfire! The clouds were like super gloomy and we were all quite worried that it'd ruin our night activities. But luckily it rained only for a few minutes and stopped. Wohoo. Anyways, campfire was fun as usual and once again, was proud of the "Hawk-ers" for their albeit short but still pretty okay campfire item. Then the singing of songs blah blah were great as usual. I think Father Abraham that song is damnn nice to sing!

K then after that was nightwalk! haha. Was very excited for it. Was partnered with Joan and we were stationed relatively near to the campsite. Haha, oh my god lahs. It got super boring and we were dozing off by like 1am? Damn hard to keep awake. Then we were like starting to get so tired that we couldn't properly comprehend what we were saying to each other. haha, damn funny. Then after that like Wei Fang and Chang Da joined us at our station and I think I MIGHT have saw SOMETHING. Probably my hallucination since I was like so tired but... it was quite vivid.

Kk. Then Day 3 was the last day of camp! After the smooth cleaning up, (Hawk and some others were in charge of cleaning up the bunks) the bus was late so we had to play random team building games. My group mainly played Bang Bang Chucky and yeah, it was super fun cos we had to do damn lame forfeits and we also saw other groups doing forfeits.

Then later was the rather controversial "Free Briyani Lunch" at Eunos. Well, it was a little weird coming as a whole "camp" to the rather religious-looking ceremony and eating the free food and then leaving immediately after that. But all I can say is that their Briyani was seriously damn good. I liked it alot. =D (maybe I was just hungry).

Anyways! We proceeded to Old Airport Road that area to do the CIP thing. We helped this lady called Aunty Margaret clean her house and we also bought like some groceries for her and then we stayed around to talk to her. She's a really nice woman. (: But it definitely got a little bit weird when she started preaching like Christianity to us. But coming from a Christian school, I wasn't quite bothered by it. Overall I still felt that it was a super fulfilling CIP to do. (:

Then after that we bused back to Eunos for break camp! Yeah and that's basically it. Hawk hawk hawk hawk hawk, Hawk PUI! Hahaha. Damn cool. And yeah, later we (ODAC-26TH) returned to VJ for debrief and stuff and I think we definitely learnt important stuff regarding holding a camp for juniors.

yeahhh. this is another short and sweet post. time is not on my side, unfortunately.

anyways! yesterday was Urban Ex recce for the Southeast Community Development Council (SECDC) camp that we, VJC ODAC 26th, are planning & conducting this Friday! yeahh. it was pretty slow paced and there were many distractions here & there but it was still fun. such a pity that Hafeeza & I won't be able to go through the actual thing with the campers since we hafta be at the campsite taking care of "everything" there. oh wells.

oh yea! then after that we had a brief dinner at the ending point of the expedition (shan't reveal the sacred location in case some sneaky campers find their way to this fantabulous and irresistable blog) and then went with Ping Yao, Jia Li and Leonard to Ang Mo Kio MacDonalds Drive Through to study. haha. the first like hour and a half was pretty productive. i was reading (and comprehending) the Ionic Equilibria notes. blah blah blah. same old same old.

then after that we started discussing like nightwalk stuff and we started creeping each other out with stories, "what-ifs", horror movies' plot, "safety protocol" during night-time...etc etc. Haha. I think Jia Li was pretty freaked out? Ping Yao also. hahaha. Leonard & I not so bad cos both of us from Uniformed Groups last time so quite used to it le. But yeah, the talk was cool. then it was like adrenaline-rush type of feeling. and oh yeah, the AMK drive thru damn nice to study. and somemore the place we were seated was like surrounded by trees such that it looked jungle-ish and it felt quite cool. =D (literally and metaphorically)

anyways, yeah. shall aim to FINISH the entire ionic equilibria tonight. then tomorrow by hook or by crook needa do the econs group project. ahh. time is so tight nowadays. i remember in vs i always seem to have quite an abundance of time, even during the periods near 'O' Levels. blah blah blah. time is of the essence and i needa get started on work!

oh yeah, tell me if this is creepy... just the way its sung + the olden melody is a little hair raising. but if you don't wanna get shocked by the "twist", don't watch the last 20 seconds or so. yes, it's not that scary that you will get freaked out/not be able to sleep or anything.

imagine if you hear this song during nightwalk... ahhhh. scary shit.

haha. are you SHHOOCKED? (in the chang expression) there actually is a 2nd post. whee. i feel accomplished.

ANYWAYS! this post is gonna be kinda short and random. and it's actually more for myself to see. kk. just need to say that I NEEDA BE MORE FOCUSED ON MY ACADEMICS!. haha. ahhh. as what Eugenia and I like to say, "I feel like a derailing train!

I mean, ODAC aside (which does takes up a significant amount of time), I am super distracted at home! Like the computer, television and even the bloody-seductive bed that lures me into it unsuspectingly and then devours me whole into dreamland and making me lose precious hours! (okay, a bit too descriptive) But what-the-heck, in the end, I still think it boils down to self-control...

This coming week is gonna get burnt up really fast. Tomorrow Urban Expedition recce + settling of logistics. Friday-Sunday executing the camp...Then lo & behold, only 2 weeks to go till freaking MID-YEAR EXAMS. And I had this damn scary nightmare (dunno when) about bad results which was... quite... disturbing.

alright, i shall stop rambling and actually set my butt down and do some work tonight. and no, i'm actually not YET feeling stress/distressed >__> kk. over the next few days must really put in maximum effort and self-control man... hopefully some opportunities for group study will show up. (:

yeah, wish everyone good luck both studying for and the actual midyears! jiayous!

whee. hello. it's been like years since i had an alive blog. (yes, my old ones now redirect to Neopets. awesome rite?)

kk. anyways! briefly bout today... went to freaking jalan bahtera campsite! haha. that place really brings back fond memories of Sec 1 Orientation Camp man. & we actually like went up to the actual bunk where Sec 1A (2005) slept and played together. and all in all, just seeing the campsite again was really cool and nostalgic for me. & it really looked exactly the same as 4 years ago! ah well.

anyways! we went there cos we're (VJ ODAC. whoo!) gonna organize a camp for secondary school people there like next friday to sunday. so yeah, we basically spent the day there (at freaking ulu Lim Chu Kang) learning to do the belaying thingy (you know, like the person who supports your weight and stuff while you're rock climbing/doing high elements/obstacles...etc) yeah, it was pretty cool though the helmets they provided us were DAMN STINK. like never wash for 10 years those kind.

then we had sorta like a recce around the campsite and yeah, brought back more memories. haha. like my first kayaking experience, the high ropes place (still vividly remember the not-as-slim Ms Sharma doing it last time + the flying fox). Yeahh. damn cool experience today. & we shall be returning there in just like... one weeks time. (=

then after that, we took the bus to this shopping centre at Choa Chu Kang... dunno whats the name le. people kept telling me but bleh. nevermind. and i had to rush to the toilet cos of nature's call. hahaha. first time so urgent & i almost dint make it and i was cursing the stupid signs to the toilet cos it didn't lead to the freaking toilet. argh. then had like takopachi, long john's clam chowder and sweet-talk's peach milkshake for pre-dinner before returning home by train with mainly yuting and roxanne. yupyup. had a lot of fun with ODACers, as usual. haha. OH YEAH. circle line is pretty cool man. everyone should try taking it soon.

oh & no promises that this blog will be updated frequently. it's like... JC life is so much more hectic and busy for me and in secondary school I already feel sian to update my blog. (: so yeah, don't get your hopes too high.
